The Administration Council of the Romanian National Air Transport Company TAROM appointed on Tuesday as director general Mihaita Ursu, member of the Administration Council and former director general of the company in the June 2020 - June 2021 period.
According to a TAROM release, the Administration Council appointed Mihaita Ursu as director general in the context in which the national air operator is in a full process of transformation, started at the beginning of 2020, with the accessing of the rescue loan following prior notification from the European Commission of a state aid for restructuring.
"The aeronautic industry in the entire world is going through an extremely difficult period, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, yet, with all that, the national air company managed to survive the first years of the crisis, especially due to the adjustment of operations, the restructuring of personnel and the exploitation of new opportunities on the non-regular flight segment," the TAROM release mentions, Agerpres.ro informs.
The Administration Council of the Company took notice, on Tuesday, of the resignation, for personal reasons, of Commander Catalin Radu Prunariu from the position of director general of the company.
