Romanian tennis player Miriam Bianca Bulgaru won the ITF (W35) tournament in Kursumlijska Banja (Serbia), with total prizes of 30,000 US dollars, on Sunday, after defeating Lina Gjorcheska (North Macedonia), 5-7, 6-1, 6-0.

Bulgaru (26 years old, WTA's 249), seed no. 1, defeated her opponent in two hours and 14 minutes, agerpres reports.

The Romanian had lost her first three matches against Gjorcheska (31 years old, WTA's 353).

Miriam Bulgaru defeated Serbian Natalija Senic, 7-6 (7/2), 6-1, in the first round, defeated Greek Martha Matoula, 7-5, 6-,3 in the round of 16, defeated Serbian Mia Ristic, 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals, and defeated Bulgarian Denislava Gluskova, 6-4, 6-0, in the semifinals.

This is the 6th ITF title in the Romanian's record, her best performance being the WTA 125 title in Bucharest, in 2024.
