The 3-month ROBOR index, depending on which the cost of loans in lei with variable interest is calculated, decreased on Monday on the interbank market by 0.02 percentage points to 3.28pct per annum, according to data with the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
BNR data showed that early this year 3-month ROBOR stood at 2.05pct.
As to the 6-month index, used to calculate interest rates on mortgage loans, it went down to 3.43pct per annum, from 3.44pct on Friday, while 9-month ROBOR, representing the interest rate paid for the loans in foreign currencies drawn by commercial banks from other commercial banks, declined to 3.49pct per year.
The 12-month ROBOR index stood at 3.55pct on Thursday, down by 0.01 percentage points from Wednesday.
