Romania is presenting its tourism offer at Italy's most important exhibition dedicated to industry professionals - the TTG Travel Experience international tourism fair, held between 8 and 10 October in Rimini, the Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEDAT) announced in a press release.

The Ministry is taking part in the event alongside 15 co-exhibitors, including tour operators specialising in incoming tourism and representatives of local authorities.

"Romania's stand - covering an area of 102 square metres and designed as an island with four open sides - highlights the beauty and diversity of the destination. Under the tourism brand message 'Esplorate i giardini dei Carpazi' (Explore the Gardens of the Carpathians), the stand features a 6-square-metre video wall and several TV screens continuously playing promotional films," the release said.

Throughout the fair, in the presentation area, co-exhibitors will showcase tourism packages ranging from cultural tours and nature escapes to city breaks and spa tourism. Representatives of the Consulate General of Romania in Bologna also visited the national stand to support efforts to promote Romania as a destination on the Italian market.

Visitors to the stand are welcomed with traditional Romanian products and refined flavours, including beef pastrami, truffle delicacies, wines and local beverages prepared by the organisers of the Bucovina Truffle Festival.

"Italy is one of the markets where Romania has succeeded in earning the trust and curiosity of travellers. Once in our country, Italians discover a diverse, authentic and surprising destination, which inspires them to return and explore new regions beyond their first experiences," said Mihaela Mihet, representative of the Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, as quoted in the release.

Through its promotional activities, Romania aims to attract an Italian audience increasingly interested in authentic experiences, local gastronomy and quality tourism at affordable prices. Italy remains one of Romania's main source markets, with significant growth potential.

Romania's participation in the TTG Travel Experience aims to strengthen the country's image as an attractive tourist destination and stimulate the interest of Italian tour operators and travel agencies in partnerships with Romanian counterparts, the Ministry added.
