The National Executive Committee (CExN) of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) adopted on Wednesday the nomination of Tudorel Toader for the office of Justice Minister, that was left vacant following the resignation of Florin Iordache and currently taken over, as interim, by Ana Birchall.
Minister of Economy Alexandru Petrescu was proposed to take over the office of Minister for Business Environment, which has been vacant since early February following the resignation of Florin Jianu and where he is currently minister ad-interim. For the Economy Ministry, Mihai Tudose was proposed as a replacement of Petrescu.
Also in the meeting on Wednesday, the CExN of the PSD approved the nomination of Rovana Plumb for the office of Minister-delegate for European Funds. Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu mentioned, at the end of the meeting, that the proposals were unanimously voted by the CExN. Moreover, Mayor of Iasi Mihai Chirica will remain in the PSD, but without any political positions, the CExN of the PSD decided on Wednesday.
