UAE official: Romania, very attractive for investment in agriculture, energy, sport

Romania is very attractive economically speaking, especially for the investments we can make in agriculture, in energy and last but not least in sport, said the Secretary General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the United Arab Emirates, Humaid Ben Salem.

The collaboration between the organization I represent and CCIR (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania) is long-lasting and has always proved very important for the business environments in the two states. We are very interested in investing in Romania, today's event creating all the premises for this to happen through the companies present at the B2B meetings. Romania is very attractive economically, especially for the investments we can make in agriculture, in energy and last but not least in sport, Romania being known worldwide for its sporting results over time. I am convinced that today's event will be a successful one for all the parties involved and I thank CCIR for its involvement in the organization, as well as for the fact that it managed to bring a delegation of businesspersons so numerous, Humaid Ben Salem stressed, according to a CCIR press release sent to AGERPRES.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) is carrying out, from February 28 to March 3, an economic mission in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai, Agerpres.ro informs.

Within this economic mission, CCIR, together with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized on Tuesday the Romania - United Arab Emirates Business Forum, at the exhibition pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai, on the sidelines of the manifestations occasioned by Romania's Day at the World Exhibition, is shown in a press release of CCIR transmitted to AGERPRES.

The CCIR delegation, led by the chairman of the organization, Mihai Daraban, brought together at this event 38 Romanian companies interested in expanding their businesses on non-EU markets. During the B2B meetings, the Romanian entrepreneurs discussed with the representatives of the UAE companies operating in different economic fields, such as: unconventional energy, green energy, energy construction, defense industry, IT&C, agriculture (food processing, irrigation systems), medical services and tourism.

According to Trade Register (ONRC) data, at the level of December 2021, as many as 507 UAE companies were active in Romania, with a total value of the subscribed share capital of 42.64 million euros.
