United States of America Ambassador to Romania Hans Klemm stated on Tuesday in Zalau that predictability and stability are highly important for Romania and he expresses the hope that the new Government having taken the office will lead to a period of stability.
Asked by journalists what he thinks of the Gov't changes over the past year, Hans Klemm admitted it is not the ideal situation.
Predictability, stability are extremely important for Romania, and also for its partners, he stated. The high ranking US official voiced his hope for entering a period of stability.
The US Ambassador specified that he has not formed an opinion about the new gov't, as he doesn't know the prime minister or the Cabinet's members and haven't met them until now.
The Ambassador stated that he has not had the chance to meet with the Prime Minister or with someone from the Cabinet. He wished them the best of luck, that will bring peace, stability and prosperity to all Romanians. (...) He stated that for the time being he accepts what the Prime Minister said the day before, namely that she intends to implement the coalition's governing programme. He acknowledged not knowing much about the premier's priorities and stated that he is waiting for the right time to introduce himself personally to the Prime Minister. Ambassador Klemm concluded by wishing her all the best.
