US military with the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment of the US Army are training, starting with January 15, together with the Galati infantry, the Public Relations Office of the 300th Mechanized Infantry Battalion Sfantul Andrei informed on Friday.
According to the cited source, the US infantry were deployed at the end of last year at the Mihai Kogalniceanu military base in Constanta County, and this week they were relocated to the 300th Mechanized Infantry Battalion Sfantul Andrei, where they will train alongside the military in Galati in the next period, Agerpres informs.
The planned training program was also adapted in accordance with the military equipment and capabilities available to both structures, the cited source states.
The purpose of the training is to reinforce and perfect the techniques, tactics and work procedures, the acquisition of the features and combat capacity generated by the military equipment, as well as to increase the level of interoperability in accordance with NATO requirements.
