USR's Ghinea: PM Ciolacu only mimicks responsibility by cutting vacant offices
USR (Save Romania Union) Public Policy Department coordinator Cristian Ghinea accuses Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and Minister Radu Oprea of "mimicking responsibility" by talking about the cutting of vacancies, while the Ministry of Economy has double the number of directors needed in its departments, told Agerpres.
"Two months have passed since PSD (Social Democratic Party) Minister Radu Oprea has not been able to make a government decision on the organization and operation of the new ministry merged between the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism. The consequence: there are 2 directors in each department and heads of service who receive salaries from public money," states a USR press release.
According to the same source, the "duplicate directors" in the Ministry of Economy are paid "with real money", while Prime Minister Ciolacu talks about cutting vacancies "that don't cost anything." USR adds that an increase in fees and taxes will burden the Romanians even more, "to feed the sinecures and privileges" of the specials.
