The visitors to the London's World Travel Market can go on a virtual trip through Romania with the help of VR glasses and watch films showing the most important tourist destinations in Romania, according to a press release issued by the Tourism Ministry for AGERPRES on Tuesday.
Romania is promoted as a tourist destination at World Travel Market, the world's largest business-to-business tourism fair, held in London on 5-7 November.
"The Tourism Ministry welcomes the participants at the fair with video presentations and promotion clips that run on two large screens located at the stand. Visitors are invited to watch films showing the most important tourist destinations in Romania. Also within the stand, those who want can enjoy an unique experience, a virtual travel through Romania, with the help of VR glasses. In addition, the Romanian traditions are presented by a painter from Bukovina who presents to the public folk art creations," the quoted release informs.
The Romanian stand was made available free of charge by the ministry to all tour operators interested in being promoted at the London exhibition. Thus, 41 public and private co-exhibitors present Romania's tourism offer along with the world's industry leaders who share the new trends and innovations in the tourism sector.
At the 39th edition of the tourism fair in London, the representatives of the Tourism Ministry are promoting the most important tourist destinations in Romania in the context of celebrating the Centennial and taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2019.
The space allocated to Romania's promotion has an area of 300 square meters for business-to-business meetings between Romanian and foreign operators interested in our country as a tourism destination.
