The WonderPuck Street Festival, held in Cluj-Napoca from 5 to 7 September, brought together over 30,000 spectators who enjoyed the performances offered by the organisers.
"Over 30,000 spectators took part in the activities of the ninth edition of the WonderPuck Street Festival. For three days, young residents of Cluj and their families enjoyed the magic of theatre performances, as well as concerts, workshops, breathtaking acrobatics and many other entertaining activities. The stages in Unirii Square and in the courtyard of the Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca hosted, over three days (from Friday, 5 September to Sunday, 7 September), children's performances from Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, Argentina and Romania. There were also musical recitals, and the surrounding streets were enlivened by the fantastical characters of roaming shows. In addition, the stage on Mihail Kogalniceanu Street featured performances aimed at adult audiences, as well as a spectacular fire show on Universitatii Street," reads a press release the festival organisers issued on Monday.
According to the same source, throughout the festival, workshops were held in Unirii Square and the courtyard of the Art Museum, covering topics such as reading, pottery, sewing, drawing, nutrition, robotics and many more.
Last but not least, a special moment from the programme delighted children in Floresti.
The project was organised by the 'Puck' Puppet Theatre and the Esua Association, with support from the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council, the Cluj County Council and Lions Club.
