A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 3 degrees on the Richter scale occurred on Saturday at 13:42 in Vrancea County, in the Vrancea seismic zone, according to information published by the National Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP).
The earthquake took place at a depth of 111.1 kilometres, near the following cities: 49 km west of Focsani, 56 km north of Buzau, 66 km southeast of Sfantu-Gheorghe, 74 km east of Brasov and 85 km northeast of Ploiesti.
Since the beginning of March, 15 earthquakes have occurred in Romania, with magnitudes ranging between 2 and 3.3.
Last year, the most significant earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 and occurred in Buzau County on September 16
