The operation to extinguish the wildfire in the Tibles Mountains, near the Arcer slope, was resumed on Thursday morning, with the support of a helicopter and fire-fighting vehicles, according to the Inspectorate General for Emergency Situations (IGSU).
"This morning, 27 ISU Maramures personnel were deployed to the area affected by the fire, with three first-response vehicles, a 6x6 fire engine, and a UTV. Additionally, the Black Hawk helicopter from the General Aviation Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which was requested for support, will resume fire extinguishing operations. Forestry workers are also assisting the operational crews. Yesterday (Wednesday - ed.note ), the IGAv helicopter carried out two water drops over the fire hotspots," IGSU informed, agerpres reports.
The wildfire in the Tibles Mountains broke out on Wednesday evening in a hard-to-reach area, and intervention teams managed to contain its spread.
