Border police takes over Turk who tried to enter Romania illegally from Bulgarian authorities

A Turkish citizen who tried to enter Romania illegally, through the Giurgiu Border Crossing Point (PTF), with the documents of another person, was handed over to the authorities of the Bulgarian Border Police, in order to continue the investigations and take the necessary legal measures, told Agerpres.

"At the Giurgiu Border Crossing Point, a Turkish citizen, at the wheel of a car, wanted to enter Romania. The person in question was identified with a simple passport issued by the Turkish authorities and a residence permit issued by the Austrian authorities. From analyzing the travel documents, the border policemen found that the person present at the control is not the same with the one in the passport photo. After conducting the physical control, of the luggage and the car, the border policemen did not discover any documents which can prove his real identity," a press release, issued on Tuesday, by the Territorial Inspectorate of the Giurgiu Border Police.

The Giurgiu border policemen interrupted the travel of the person in question, and, according to the Romanian-Bulgarian protocol, he was taken over by the authorities of the Bulgarian Border Police, in order to continue the investigations and arrange the necessary legal measures.
