Romanian boxer Ronald Gavril defeated on Saturday US boxer Decarlo Perez by technical knock-out (TKO) in the 3rd round, in the super middleweight category of the match that took place at the Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall in Las Vegas (US).
Ronald ''The Thrill'' Gavril (aged 30) is a member of the famous team of multiple-time world champion Floyd Mayweather, thus he registered his 18th victory in professional boxing (14 KO), having only one defeat.
The boxer from Bacau, who trained in Las Vegas by Eddie Mustafa, managed to win the last five matches before the deadline.
Decarlo Perez (aged 26) has 16th victories in professional boxing (5 KO), 6 defeats (3 KO) and a draw.
Gavril is currently the NABF (North American Boxing Federation) Champion in the Super Middleweight category, and hopes boxing soon in order to win a major title in his category.
Former soccer player Adrian Mutu was among the first people to congratulate Gavril for his victory, in a post on Facebook, and the boxer immediately thanked him.
