The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session lower and 24.83 million RON (4.99 million euros) worth of transactions, down over three million RON from the previous day.
The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were those of Banca Transilvania, which recorded transactions of 3.96 million RON, followed by OMV Petrom - 2.35 million RON and Infinity Capital Investments - 1.86 million RON.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, lost 0.33 percent, to 18,270.37 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares registered a 0.31 percent decline.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.41 percent lower, while the BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies went down 1.19 percent.
The return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK closed the trading session 0.43 percent down, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG decreased 0.20 percent.
The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market dipped 0.23 percent.
According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Condmag (+10 percent), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+9.15 percent) and Rompetrol Rafinare (+5.48 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Lion Capital (-6,30 percent), Medlife (-3,71 percent) and TTS (Transport Trade Services) (-9,09 percent).
