The Romanian aeronautical industry represents an essential pillar of the Romanian economy, encompassing a highly qualified human capital, which over time has generated innovative ideas and leading technologies in this field, considers the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mihai Daraban, informs Agerpres.
According to a report sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, the anniversary event "50 years since the first flight of the IAR-93 Vultur" will be organized on October 31, by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), the Employers' Organization of the Romanian Aeronautical Industry (OPIAR) and the National Institute for Aerospace Research and Development "Elie Carafoli" (INCAS).
According to the quoted source, the IAR-93 Vultur plane, a jet fighter, designed, built at the prototype level, manufactured at the series level and introduced into the equipment of the Romanian Air Force, represented a first for the aeronautical industry in Romania, constituting practically in the foundation stone that was the basis of the development of this economic sector.
"The Romanian aeronautical industry represents an essential pillar of the Romanian economy, encompassing a highly qualified human capital, which over time has generated innovative ideas and cutting-edge technologies in this field. In recent years, CCIR has supported the development effort of this industry, with a great economic potential that could help, in the long term, to reduce the trade deficit that our country registers annually. Because we mentioned a top industry, with high added value, we have this example of an aircraft made 50 years ago for years through the perfect integration of several research and production units in Romania. CCIR will remain the same reliable partner in the development of this economic sector and, through the means at our disposal, we will promote the Romanian companies in the aeronautical field for the internationalization of their activities carried out," the CCIR chairman declared.
