Dragos Tudorache was sworn in on Wednesday afternoon as minister of the Interior, in front of president Klaus Iohannis. The ceremony at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace was attended by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, alongside members of the Government, counselors of president Iohannis.
Dragos Tudorache thus replaces Petre Toba who has resigned on 1 September, after the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) charged him with aiding and abetting a perpetrator in the file of the former heads of the Intelligence and Internal Protection Department (DIPI).
