The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, discussed, on Tuesday, with representatives of the National Union of the Dicasterial Judicial Registry the effect of limiting the increase for harmful and dangerous working conditions, regarding clerks and auxiliary staff.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Justice sent to AGERPRES, on Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, the Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, met with representatives of the National Union of the Dicasterial Judicial Registry, Catalin Traistaru, president of the union, and George Pirvu, secretary general.
"The main topic discussed during the meeting was the effect of limiting the bonus for harmful and dangerous working conditions, regarding clerks and auxiliary staff, to the amount of 300 RON gross, amid the dissatisfaction of all those affected by this measure," the press release reads.
Radu Marinescu specified that this measure is temporary, caused by the adoption of Government Ordinance No. 36/30.06.2025, which aims at austerity measures for the entire public sector, in a period in which maximum financial prudence is needed to reduce Romania's budget deficit.
The union representatives requested that, when preparing the budget for 2026, the amounts necessary for the payment of the increase for harmful and dangerous working conditions be taken into account, in the amount prior to the amendments.
Another topic addressed during this meeting was the new statute of the clerk profession and, following the discussions, it was agreed to convene a ministerial working group that would include union representatives in order to develop a new statute of the clerk profession, in accordance with the Constitutional Court Decision.
Also, according to the Ministry of Justice, the discussions also aimed at establishing the calendar for the development of the law on the remuneration of personnel within the judicial authority. Regarding this issue, Radu Marinescu specified that the Report is expected to be prepared, including the conclusions analyzed within the commission designated at the level of the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
Another point of discussion was the relief of judicial activity, with union representatives discussing aspects that can ensure this, such as digitalization, simplified work procedures and the adoption of normative acts that can lead to relief of activity in the judicial system.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Justice stated that he would take all necessary measures to continue ensuring good collaboration and consultation with trade union organizations, as well as with institutions within the judicial system, in order to find the best solutions each time.
The discussions were attended by Liviu Drăgănescu and Corina Puşchin, advisors to the Minister of Justice, Ion-Claudiu Teodorescu, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice, and Silvia Chiticaru, Director of the Ministry's Economic Directorate.
