The government approved on Wednesday the establishment of the 'George Emil Palade' Hospital, an in-patient self-funding unit under the authority of the 'George Emil Palade' University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology in Targu Mures.
According to a government release, the purpose of the new health facility is to complement the high-standard offer of medical services provided by the Mures County public hospitals, Agerpres.ro informs.
"The 'George Emil Palade' University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Targu Mures will provide the necessary infrastructure and spaces for the hospital activities, under a bailment contract between the parties. The financing of the 'George Emil Palade' Hospital will be entirely from its own funds, according to the principle of financial autonomy," the release states.
