The government on Friday amended a decision on the state aid scheme to stimulate investments with a major impact on the economy, reducing the value of the minimum cap qualifying for the aid from the lei equivalent of 3 million euros to the lei equivalent of one million euro.
Under the amendment adopted at the government meeting, the minimum of three million euros that a company has to invest in order to be eligible was reduced to the lei equivalent of one million euro.
On August 29, the Ministry of Public Finance announced that applications for funding under the state aid scheme can be submitted starting September 10. The budget allocated for the scheme in 2018 for the issue of financing agreements with payment in 2019-2021 is 614 million lei.
According to the ministry, applications for financing agreements are analysed and processed in order of registration and within the limits of the budget commitments and credits approved under the annual budget laws.
The Ministry of Public Finance will publish on its website, on a weekly basis, the list of submitted applications for financing agreements and the stage of their analysis (under consideration, agreement was issued, a rejection letter was issued, pending, as the case may be).
