Former NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana welcomed on Friday the appointment of Ilie Bolojan for the position of Prime Minister, noting that, in difficult times, Romania needs strong leaders, informs Agerpres.
"I welcome the appointment of Ilie Bolojan as Prime Minister of the Government of Romania by President Nicusor Dan. In difficult times, our country needs strong leaders, capable of assuming not only the responsibility of adjusting the immense deficits generated by years of electoral economic populism, but especially of beginning the arduous path of regaining the trust of our citizens in democracy, in state institutions and among ourselves, as members of society and essential actors of the national project", Geoana wrote on Facebook.
President Nicusor Dan appointed, on Friday, the interim leader of the PNL, Ilie Bolojan, for the position of prime minister.
