The average gross wage gained 0.8 per cent in June compared with the previous month, reaching up to 3,313 lei, while the net value increased by 0.7 per cent, up to 2,380 lei, shows data of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Monday.
According to the statistical data, the most significant value of the average net nominal wage was recorded in the area of services in information technology - including computer services, 5,853 lei respectively, with the lowest recorded in the HoReCa field (1,400 lei).
Moreover, the growth recorded in June against May in public administration's average net wage stood at +1.1 per cent and in the healthcare and social assistance sector at +0.5 per cent. The education sector is to be found at the opposite pole of the spectrum, with a decrease recorded in June in the average net wage, compared with the previous month, of 1.1 per cent.
According to the same source, official statistics showed a major increase of 14.5 per cent in the average net nominal wage at the level of June 2017 compared with June 2016. At the same time, the index of the real wage earning compared with the same period last year was of 113.5 per cent.
Moreover, while considering the evolution of consumer prices, the real wage earning stood at 100.7 per cent in June 2017 compared with the previous month, while in comparison with October 1990 the gain is of 179.7 per cent, by 1.2 percentage points higher than the value recorded in May 2017.
