The leadership of the Justice Ministry is set to meet the President of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to discuss the roadmap for fulfilling the requirements of the pilot decision on detention conditions, with a memorandum to be afterwards submitted to the Government for approval and sent back to the Court on January 22, Minister Tudorel Toader announced on Tuesday.
The meeting will take place at the ECHR headquarters on January 16 starting 2:00 pm EET, said the Minister on his Facebook page.
A team of justice experts - external - internal matters - finance -probation and the National Administration of Penitentiaries will have a meeting with the ECHR panel. The meeting will take place at the ECHR headquarters and it will focus on the implementation of the measures taken. The memorandum will be submitted to the Government for approval. On January 22, 2018, the memorandum will be submitted to the ECHR," announced Toader.
