PM Dancila: 'Cooperation PM-President, necessary for the rotating presidency of the Council of EU to prove Romania is ready'

Prime Minister Viorica Dancilă stated that a cooperation between the Prime Minister and the President is necessary, since the time when Romania will be holding the rotating presidency of the Council of EU represents an opportunity to prove Romania is ready, as the European institutions already emphasized.

"In what concerns defence, foreign affairs and public order, these are your prerogatives, according to the Constitutions, it is your duty to participate when these things are discusses. Related to our cooperation during our mandate at the presidency of the Council of EU, I said it from the very beginning and I am repeating this now, this cooperation is necessary, for we need consensus, given that the presidency of the Council of EU is also a challenge and an opportunity to prove Romania is ready, as the European institutions already emphasized," stated Viorica Dancila on Thursday, in the opening of the Government meeting presided by President Klaus Iohannis.
