PSD’s Firea doesen’t think it’s normal for Dragne to make list of MEP candidates by himself

Bucharest Mayor and Deputy Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Gabriela Firea stated that Chairman of the PSD Liviu Dragnea would have made by himself the list of candidates for the European Parliament elections, without consulting with the other members, according to Agerpres.

"I don't find it normal for me and other colleagues to talk with many people around the country who tell us: 'You know, I agree with the principle that you set forth, but I cannot say anything because I am included on the first three positions for European Parliament elections." I don't think it's normal for Mr Dragnea to draft the MEP list by himself, just as he did it until now. Because he already has a list in his mind which he didn't disclosed to anybody and promised everyone: 'You stay put, you're among the first three positions," Firea stated on Wednesday evening at Romania TV private television station.

When asked if Liviu Dragnea wants run for presidential elections, Firea replied that the PSD leader was preparing for this thing.

"From the talks that we carried out prior to these moments, yes [he wants to run for presidential elections]. He was preparing for a candidacy. It's true, it wasn't decided in a statutory forum, yet. It was discussed. Okay, it was premature, too. This candidacy was being discussed," Firea stated.
