Romania has a 304-square-metre stand at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the most important trade fairs dedicated exclusively to travel industry professionals, taking place from 4 to 6 November, the Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEDAT) announced on Tuesday.

"Romania's stand, located in the Europe zone, covers 304 square metres and is open on all four sides, providing visitors with easy access and a complete view of the national tourism offer. Alongside ministry representatives, 35 co-exhibitors - tour operators, hotels, industry associations, destination management organisations and local authorities - will promote Romania's diverse tourism potential," MEDAT shows in a press release.

According to the ministry, participation in WTM London is an exclusively business-to-business event, accessible only to travel professionals. Since September, Romanian exhibitors have been active on the fair's dedicated online platform, which allows them to schedule business meetings, manage their calendars, and use advanced digital tools to optimise participation, agerpres reports.

The programme of activities is structured thematically, in line with the international market's strong interest in cultural tourism, city breaks and the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions). Over the three days, Romania's stand will host presentations by specialists and industry representatives, including Craiova City Hall with "Craiova - a city like a festival", Travel Carpathia on "Transylvania - captivating encounters", Apex Alliance Hotel Management and Hotel Radisson Blu Bucharest with urban and MICE tourism presentations titled "Discover Bucharest", and the Prahova Tourism Promotion and Development Association with "Prahova - a getaway for all seasons".

Romania will also feature on the TrendFest stage, located in the immersive zone dedicated to experiencing travel trends through interactive experiences, with a performance of Oltenian folk dances by the Maria Tanase Ensemble - Dolj County Centre for Culture and Arts, offering the public an authentic insight into Romanian traditions.

Throughout the fair, promotional videos from MEDAT's archive, created by British journalist Charlie Ottley, will be shown on the stand's screens, alongside "Romania Attractive", a production of the Ministry of Investments and European Projects funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, highlighting attractions and gastronomic experiences from 23 counties. Each co-exhibitor will also have their own screen for promotional videos.

WTM London is a platform connecting tourism demand with supply, as well as a trendsetter in technological development and innovation in the sector. The 2025 edition marks unprecedented growth, with organisers announcing an expansion of the exhibition space by 25,000 sqm and the launch of their own TV channel - WTM TV, dedicated to promoting participants.
