The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) organizes, until December 10, 50 events that mark the National Day of Romania, in 31 cities abroad.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Monday, the events, organized by the ICR through its representatives abroad and through the Directorate of International Relations, take place in collaboration with the diplomatic missions of Romania in the countries of residence.
"This year, we have expanded the series of events organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute on the occasion of Romania's National Day through ICR representatives abroad and in collaboration with embassies and diplomatic missions. This expansion does not only mean a greater number of events, but also the scope and greater impact and wider geographical coverage, by organizing demonstrations in cities where the ICR does not have representatives," declared the ICR chairman, Liviu Jicman.
According to the head of the ICR, "holding events in representative spaces in the respective countries positions the creations of Romanian artists among the most important cultural landmarks of the moment and contributes to the popularization of Romanian culture and Romanian creators among the general public and the artistic and cultural communities abroad".
