The "Delta" Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday received 12 calls from Tulcea County residents who were scared because of the Russian bombings on the Ukrainian city of Izmail, in the context in which the national authorities did not send a RO-ALERT message.

ISU "Delta" spokesperson, Cristina Profir, explained the large number of calls by the lack of a RO-ALERT message.

"Usually, when people receive a RO-ALERT message informing them that there is a possibility of drones falling on Romanian territory, we do not receive so many calls, maybe only one or two. However, now people probably got scared because of the absence of a RO-ALERT message and we received 12 calls," the ISU Delta representative told AGERPRES.

Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure recorded on Tuesday night into Wednesday could be seen from the upper floors of apartment buildings located in the highlands of Tulcea.

RO-ALERT messages are transmitted by the Ministry of National Defence.
