Special Parliamentary Committee debating on Justice laws on Thursday adopted an amendment saying that the prosecutors who want to work with the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) must participate in a vacancy-filling contest with the Superior Council of Magistrates' (CSM) Prosecutors Section.

"The National Anti-corruption Directorate also needs to observe this when it comes to the prosecutors appointed by order of the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anti-corruption Directorate, upon the proposal of the Prosecutors Section of the Superior Council of Magistrates, by taking a vacancy-filling contest, within the limit of available jobs, as according to the organizational chart, approved by law," reads the amendment adopted by the special committee.

Initially, the article stipulated that "The National Anti-corruption Directorate also falls under this law when it comes to the prosecutors appointed by order of the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anti-corruption Directorate, with the approval of the Prosecutors Section of the Supreme Council of Magistrates, by participating in a vacancy-filling contest, within the limit of available jobs, as according to the organizational chart, approved by law."

The committee also adopted another amendment, according to which, in order to be appointed at DNA, "the prosecutors need to have never received disciplinary sanctions, to have a good professional training and a spotless moral conduct, at least 8-year experience as a prosecutor or judge and they also need to be hired through contest with the Superior Council of Magistrates' Prosecutors Section."
