The famous British band The Cure will perform for the first time in Romania on July 22, 2019 in the Constitutiei Square, the organisers made the announcement on Monday in a release sent to AGERPRES.

'God is an Astronaut' Irish post-rock band will also perform alongside The Cure.

In more than 40 years of activity, The Cure had 13 members, the ones to come to Bucharest being: Simon Gallup - bass, Jasson Cooper - battery, Roger O'Donnel - keyboards and Reeves Gabrels - guitar and Robert Smith - voice and guitar.

The tickets will be available in the Eventim network and on eventim.ro starting on Tuesday, November 6, 9.00 am, for the next prices: Diamond Circle - 390 Ron; Golden Circle - 280 Ron; GA/Standing - 220 Ron; GA Early Bird - 170 Ron; and tickets in the stand - 420 Ron.

Those who have bought a ticket to the Bon Jovi concert will benefit from a discount in the ticket price for The Cure.

The first concert ever of The Cure took place in 1978. The band has recorded 13 studio albums, with sales of more than 27 million copies, more than 40 singles and live materials, valuable soundtracks and a multitude of other related cultural activities.

God is an Astronaut is, according to the organisers, the most important post-rock band on today' scene. Ever since establishment, in 2002, the Irish trio rapidly became a landmark among the instrumental bands.
