Three US citizens visiting Romania have got criminal files after trespassing on the Barlad Military Unit in the eastern County of Vaslui, pretending they were looking for a Jewish cemetery where they could find the graves of certain relatives they had in Romania, a release by the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Vaslui says.
A young man of 28 y/o trespassed on the said military unit, together with his father and a brother of his father's, with the intention to see whether or not there were a monument in the area.
"On 19 July, charges were pressed regarding the fact that some men have trespassed on a military unit. Investigations are underway in respect of offenses of violation of professional headquarters, accessory to violation of professional headquarters, respectively, a solution being to be given by the Prosecutor's Office with the Barlad Court," on Monday told AGERPRES the IPJ Vaslui spokeswoman, Silvia Manta.
The said US citizens do have relatives born in a commune nearby the city of Barlad.
