The volume of turnover in the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased, as unadjusted series, by 5.4%, in the first ten months compared to the similar period of the previous year, and the volume of turnover in the market services provided to the population increased by 27.3%, according to data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
Thus, in the period January 1 - October 31, 2022, year-on-year, the advance in the volume of turnover in wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as unadjusted series, was influenced by the increase in turnover in the trade in motorcycles, related parts and accessories, maintenance and repair of motorcycles (+ 6.8%), trade in vehicle parts and accessories (+6.1%), trade in motor vehicles (+ 5.8%) and maintenance and repair activities of motor vehicles (+ 1.6%).
The volume of turnover in wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, expressed as workday and seasonally adjusted series, increased by 4.3%.
The turnover of market services provided to the population, as unadjusted series, in the period January 1 - October 31, 2022, registered a turnover by 27.3%, year-on-year, influenced by the increase in turnover of: activities of hotels and restaurants (+29.1%), activities of travel agencies and tour operators (+34.2%), gambling and other recreational activities (+.1%, washing and (dry) cleaning activities of textile articles and fur products (+20.6%) and hairdressing services and other beauty-related activities (+26.5%).
The activity of market services provided to the population, expressed as workday and seasonally adjusted series, in the first 10 months of this year, recorded a turnover by 30.1% higher compared to the similar period in 2021.AGERPRES
