The Euro Foto Art Association will open on Tuesday in the Oradea Fortress the International Photographic Art Show "Woman" dedicated to the Women's Day, an exhibition showcasing 72 photos taken by female artists from nine countries, the organizers announced.
These artistically most insightful images presenting the woman's various hypostases as mother, partner, teenager or grandmother were selected from 180 entries - monochrome and color images - by 18 partner organizations from Italy, Serbia, Slovakia, Malta, Romania, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, India and Japan.
"I am impressed by the artistic value of the exhibits. The photographers from Saudi Arabia, Japan, Romania and Hungary prepared in particular for this year's edition, sending in artistically highly valuable collections. This year sees the first participation in this international show of the women artists from the Association of Hungarian Photographers in the Carpathian Basin," said Stefan Tóth István, president of the Euro Photo Art International Association and curator of the exhibition.
The "Woman" exhibition opens on March 8 at 16:00 at the 'Euro Foto Art' Gallery of the Oradea City Museum (a section of the 'Tara Crisurilor' Museum) and the event will be streamed online on the association's Facebook page.
The musical moments will be offered by viola player Thurzó Sándor József who will perform several pieces composed by female musicians, such as "Sicilienne de Maria" by Theresia Paradis, "Melody" by Liana Alexandra or "Song" by Patricia Tavares.
The exhibition will be open until April 6, from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:00 and 17:00 (closed on Mondays). The photos on display can also be admired on the website of the international association at: https://www.eurofotoart.com/efa-exhibition-salons/woman/2022/.
