President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday signed a decree decorating Grand Commander of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Bailiff Fra' Ludwig Hoffmann von Rumerstein, and Grand Hospitaller of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta Bailiff Dominique Prince of La Rochefoucauld-Montbel.
The Presidential Administration says in a press statement that Bailiff Fra' Ludwig Hoffmann von Rumerstein received a Romania's Star in rank of Grand Cross while Bailiff Dominique Prince of La Rochefoucauld-Montbel was awarded a Romania's Star in rank of Grand Officer to mark the 25th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic ties between Malta and Romania "in high recognition of the special contribution to the development of ties with Romania and support for the activity of the Romanian Maltese Relief Service."
Both decorations were made upon a recommendation from Romania's Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu.
