A total of 131 defendants have been handed down final sentences in November - December 2018 in corruption cases built by the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA); the said defendants include a former deputy, a corporation director, mayors, and a bank director.

According to a DNA release this Monday, 131 defendants were convicted in the last two months of 2018 through 39 final court rulings. The said defendants include: a former deputy and a former chairman of the Energy Regulatory Authority; 46 border police officers; a corporation director; three former members of the management of an energy complex; seven defendants in a case of corruption at a Bucharest hospital; a municipality mayor and a commune mayor; a former member of a city government leadership; two former senior members of a Bucharest sector mayoralty; two police officers, three lawyers, one bank director.
The sentences handed down range from a three-month term in prison with warning to 15 years in prison, DNA said. AGERPRES .
