Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower Wednesday's session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed lower on almost all indices in Wednesday's session, with a trading value of 78.888 million RON (15.457 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, fell by 0.32%, to 16,506.97 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed down by 0.31%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded a decline of 0.35%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, fell by 1.29%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, appreciated by 0.02%, and BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, closed down by 0.26%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed with a depreciation of 0.30%.

The most liquid stocks were those of Digi Communications, with transactions of 14.32 million RON, followed by shares of Banca Transilvania, with 13.75 million RON, and OMV Petrom, with 11.53 million RON.

The best developments were recorded by the shares of Green Tech International (+9.09%), SIF Hoteluri (+8.33%) and Rompetrol Rafinare (+4.93%).

On the other hand, the most important decreases were recorded by the shares of Mecanica Ceahlau (-8.47%), Chimcomplex Borzesti (-4.23%) and Romcab (-3.13%).
