Starting November 16, the foyers of the Studio Hall of the "I.L. Caragiale" National Theater will host an extensive painting exhibition by pan flute virtuoso Gheorghe Zamfir, titled Color Symphony.
"My painting represents sound transposed into color, it's more of a musical painting, if I could call it that. It is an intense color painting that expresses sonatas, symphonies, rhapsodies and so on. My colors are evocative, in the sense in that they dare to represent a part of the sound transposed into color. I don't consider myself a real painter, because I am self-taught in this respect, that's why I don't talk too often about this side of my art, but I think it's not fair to keep this passion away from you. Expression is what we are deep inside. Expression helps us define ourselves and offer from our overabundence to those around us or to those we meet! When words are not enough, you offer a song, when music does no longer seem to be enough either, you put colors on the canvas and show your soul to the entire world! Here are the colors of my soul," said Gheorghe Zamfir, as cited in a release.
The exhibition will stay open until January 2023. AGERPRES
