Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not replace humans and 39 percent of the current skills held by employees will change by 2030, according to data from the "Future of Jobs 2025" report by the World Economic Forum.

According to the report, quoted in a press release by the organizers of the HumAInity 2025 event, top in-demand skills over the next five years will include the ability to work with AI and Big Data tools (86 percent), resilience (77 percent), creative thinking and digital literacy (74 percent each). Moreover, network and cybersecurity skills (71 percent) are also listed as priorities.

The specialist study shows that, globally, by 2030, AI and automation will lead to the loss of 92 million jobs, but also to the creation of 170 million new ones, a net gain of 78 million jobs. At the same time, 22 percent of all existing jobs will undergo radical transformation.

"Artificial intelligence is unlikely to replace humans, but it will significantly transform the way we work. While some jobs will disappear, others will develop and new opportunities will emerge for those who understand how to integrate technology into their work. The future is not about forced job replacement, but about developing skills and new abilities to meet the demands of a dynamic, tech-driven market, a future in which those who know how to use AI will be the ones who stand out," founder of HumAInity Madalina Uceanu explained, as quoted in the release.

The report also highlights that major consultancy firms estimate around 30 percent of current working hours will be automated by 2030, and organisations that fully capitalise on the potential of talent could generate up to three times more revenue per employee compared to the market average.
