An event marking 35 years since the December 1989 Revolution, consisting in the opening of the Epilog'89 contemporary art exhibition and a conference dedicated to the anniversary, will take place on December 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum, announce agerpres.ro.
The general director of the Village Museum, Paula Popoiu, historians Adrian Cioroianu, Alina Pavelescu, Alexandru Groza, Silviu Moldovan, Mihai Calin, Niculina Moica, Cosmin Nasui, Angelica Marinescu, Cristian Rasina are invited to attend the opening. The dialogue will be moderated by Cosmin Budeanca, researcher at the Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism and the Memory of the Romanian Exile, the organizers inform on Monday.
With the aim of keeping alive the memory of the victims of the communist regime and the outstanding personalities who died in the prisons of that regime, the exhibition will bring together the works of ten artists: Andrei Balan, Teodor Zaica, Mircea Hristescu, Silvia Radu, Catalin Maier, Maria Ionescu, Florin Constantin, Cezar Stanciu, Irina Hasnas Hubbard and Ion Ciobanu.
Organized by the Museum of the Horrors of Communism in Romania in collaboration with the Village Museum and together with the Semn Association, the exhibition will be open until April 2025.
