The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that voting by Romanian citizens abroad in the referendum to redefine marriage in Romania's Constitution wrapped up on Monday at 7:00 a.m. (Bucharest time) with ballot casting in the stations opened in the US - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento, Las Vegas) and Canada (Vancouver).
According to a Foreign Ministry release, ballot casting abroad ran over 58 hours - time-zone differences included - and was free of incidents.
According to preliminary reports by polling station presidents 126,239 people turned out to vote.
