The retail turnover, except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles, increased in 2020, as gross series, by 2.2pct compared to the previous year, according to data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), as reported by AGERPRES.

INS data show that the volume of turnover in retail trade (except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, in December 2020, compared to the previous month, increased by 5.8pct, overall.
Retail turnover (except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), series adjusted depending on the number of business days and seasonality, in December 2020, compared to the previous month, increased by 0.2pct, overall.
Also, the retail turnover (except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, in December 2020, compared to December 2019, saw an overall increase of 3.4pct.
The retail turnover (except for trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), series adjusted depending on the number of business days and seasonality, in December 2020, compared to December 2019, increased by 4.2pct, overall.
