A total of 39,710 people were employed through the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) in the first quarter of the year, thanks to the employment stimulation measures implemented by the territorial structures of the institution.
According to a press release from the ANOFM, of the total number of employed people as of March 31, 19,775 are over 45 years old, 7,643 are between 35 and 45 years old, 3,319 are between 30 and 35 years old, 3,191 are between 25 and 30 years old, and 5,782 are young people under 25. Of the total number of employed people, 7,273 are NEET young people.
The number of employed women is 18,525, and of men 21,185, their share in the total number of employed persons being 46.65% and 53.35%, respectively.
Depending on residence, 21,041 people employed in the reference period come from urban areas, and 18,669 people are from rural areas.
The level of education of the people for whom a job was identified shows that most have high school (13,245), vocational (9,432), secondary school (8,912) education, 4,826 having university education. Of the total number of people employed through the ANOFM in the first quarter of the year, 11,286 are part of the category of those who are difficult and very difficult to employ.
The institution specifies that the classification into an employability category is carried out as a result of the profiling activity of the persons registered in the ANOFM records.
A ranking of the counties with the most employed people shows that Bucharest ranks first (4,797), followed by Iasi (1,524) and Brasov (1,417).
During the reference period, the number of people who benefited from assistance for registering as job seekers, in order to ensure social protection regarding the granting of unemployment benefits or inclusion in active measures, was 117,653 people.
For integration into the labor market, people looking for a job, registered in the database of the territorial employment agency within whose radius they have their domicile or residence, benefit from personalized packages of active measures provided for by Law no. 76/2002 on the unemployment insurance system and stimulating employment.AGERPRES
