Romania wants to continue its European integration, President Klaus Iohannis said on Monday in his speech on Europe Day at the Cotroceni Palace, seat of the Presidential Administration.
"Our goal is to continue the process of European integration, by Romania joining the Schengen Area and the euro zone. We belong in the Schengen Area as a full member state. Romania's accession will consolidate its security and will send, in a crucial moment, a strong political message in support of the preservation of the principle of free movement of individuals, the President said.
