The General Prosecutor's Office informs on Wednesday that in the case regarding the swine fever outbreak, the prosecutors have ordered the initiation of the in rem prosecution for committing the crime of spreading the disease to animals and plants and dereliction of duty.
"A criminal case was drawn up regarding the swine fever with the Section for Prosecution and Criminal Investigation within the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the prosecutors ordering the initiation of the in rem prosecution for the crime of spreading the disease to animals and plants having been committed, as provided for in Art. 355 of the Criminal Code and for dereliction of duty - Art. 298 of the Criminal Code," PICCJ informs in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
According to the quoted source, the document was registered with the Section for Prosecution and Criminal Investigation on 3 September, as a result of an ex officio referral and the drawing up of a denunciation.
