King Mihai I is not going to attend the funerals of Queen Anne, the website romaniaregala.ro informs. "A college of five physicians of various specialties of King Mihai I's, have recommended against his participation in the funerals of his late wife, Queen Anne. King Mihai I will remain during the Royal Funerals at his residence in Switzerland, alongside friends and close ones, employees of His Majesty's and two Orthodox nuns detached there. This decision was made with great sorrow," the source reads.
The funerals of Queen Anne will be attended by the Crown Princess Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Prince Radu, Princess Elena, Alexander Philips Nixon, Princess Sofia, Princess Maria, Nicolae Medforth-Mills and Elisabeta Maria Biarneix.
Members of foreign Royal Families have also announced their presence in the Queen Anne's funerals. Their names will be made public on Thursday 11 August. Queen Anne of Romania has passed away on 1 August in a Swiss hospital. On Saturday 13 August at 3pm the funeral service of Queen Anne will take place in the New Cathedral's narthex at Curtea de Arges.
