Romania's men's epee team won the competition at Warsaw World Championship, on Sunday, after defeating in the finals the Italian team by 45-44.
In the round of sixteen, Romania outperformed France by 45-40, in the quarters Romanians disposed of the Russians with the same score and in the semifinals, they defeated Hungary by 45-44. Romania's epee team, trained by Florin Zalomir, was made up of Tiberiu Dolniceanu (CS Dinamo), Iulian Teodosiu (CS Dinamo), Alin Badea (CSA Steaua) and Madalin Bucur (CS Dinamo).
In the single's event, on Friday and Saturday, the Romanian fencers ranked on the following positions: Iulian Teodosiu (CS Dinamo) - 20th place, Tiberiu Dolniceanu (CS Dinamo) - 34th, Madalin Bucur (FC Dinamo) - 53rd, Alin Badea (CSA Steaua) - 55th, Dragos Sirbu (CS Dinamo) - 94th, Sorin Eftimie (CS Dinamo) - 137th, George Iancu (CSA Steaua) - 143.
