The measures taken by the Government are "put in doubt, because of the budget promulgation delay, Premier Sorin Grindeanu stated on Thursday.
At the beginning of the Governmental sitting on Thursday, Grindeanu thanked the Ministers of his Cabinet for continuing their activity, "although the budget is delayed in being promulgated."
"Unfortunately, the fact that you and me succeeded, I say, in record time to come up with a budget that takes into account our Governing program, all the measures we pledged to put into practice, and yet all this work is delayed. Even more than that, those measures which we took and have in the governing program (...), but because of the budget promulgation delay, are put in doubt. We did our job, adopted the necessary legislative acts, we provided the budget funds on all these measures", Grindeanu confirmed.
According to the Premier, this delay in promulgating the budget will influence both the functioning of Ministries, as well the county and local authorities.
"Unfortunately, all this delay (...) goes in a chain not only to the Ministries you are managing, but also to the county authorities, local authorities, all the things that go down across the pyramid for a well functioning of the state. We were already in a delay due to the electoral program, due to all the things that you know did not depend of us. Therefore, we will still function and everybody will continue to function with 1/12 (of the budgets' provisions in the previous year - e.n.), as you know, according to the law, unfortunately", Grindeanu said to the Ministers.
