All the 57 framework-agreements and subsequent contracts for the 2017-2018 winter have been signed, the National Company for the Administration of the Road Infrastructure (CNAIR) informed on Monday. In respect to what is needed for removing the snow, CNAIR informed that it has now 162,000 tonnes of salt and 1,176 tonnes of calcium chloride, and also 2,013 tools that are operational, out of which 506 of its own.
The total quantity of salt needed for this winter is 347,000 tonnes. "We also need to specify that, this week, the deputy general manager designated to coordinate the removal of the snow nationwide, Radu Muntean, together with the team under his subordination, is currently doing check-ups in the territory to see the available stocks and the status of the tools at each Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges," reads the release.
