About a bomb threat against two high schools in the town of Targoviste on Friday morning, the Dambovita Prefecture says in the morning an atypical message was received in which the county police inspectorate and the gendarmerie county inspectorate were invited to negotiations in Targoviste or else two high schools were to be destroyed by bomb.
"In a contrary case, two high schools of Targoviste - the Constantin Carabella Collegiate High School and the Balasa Doamna Arts High School would be blown up. (...) We are hereby informing that classes were halted for the duration of the reverifications," reads the official statement.
According to the prefecture, conducting the intervention were specialist forces of the Dambovita County Intelligence Directorate, the Dambovita Office of the Directorate for Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), the Dambovita County Police Inspectorate, the Dambovita County Gendarmerie Inspectorate and the Dambovita Emergency Inspectorate.
"We are recommending the citizens to keep their calm and avoid panicking, because the authorities are at the scene conducting standard procedures specific of a negative event," the official statement says.
